After the game, his quote about Steve Javie was very interesting. “I thought I got fouled on that play, and I said I thought that he was calling the game personal, and he threw me out. His fuse is real short anyway, and I should have known that I couldn’t say anything anyway. It’s been something personal with me and him since I got in the league. This was just the perfect game for him to try and make me look bad.” That's 3 straight losses for Denver...

AI has played pretty well his first 5 games with Denver, averaging 28.6 ppg, and 8.8 assists...although they're only 2-3, he's playing well on a depleted team, things should be much better once they get the full roster back.

It's been a funny series of events. Think about it: Iverson gets benched by the Coach and GM, and then Iverson demands a trade. They couldn't find the right team until Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks get into an ugly brawl in which All-Star Carmelo Anthony is suspended 15 games...which then leads to Nuggets desperately seeking a superstar like Allen Iverson. An amazing turn of events.

Personally, I'm excited. Finally a change of scenery for Allen Iverson and another shot at the playoffs with a fellow playoff team. The two highest scorers in the L playing side-by-side. That's gotta be exciting to watch!

Iverson did last week what he always swore he wouldn't do: request a trade. The Sixers are ready to grant his wish. Now, it's up to Sixers team president Billy King to find the right deal for the seven-time All-Star.

"I'm trying to do what's best for this organization," King said Friday night.

The Sixers sent Iverson home the last two games and said on Sunday the four-time scoring champion will be inactive again for Monday night's game against Portland. The Sixers then play three more times this week, against Boston on Wednesday, and a Texas back-to-back at Dallas and San Antonio, meaning a deal will likely have to come soon before the situation really gets ugly.

"I was disappointed, at the very least, but I think that every player has the right to say what he wants. Allen has decided that's what he wants."

"We made some inquiries if it was real," coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff told the Observer on Saturday. "Michael (Jordan) and I plan to sit down and chat" about whether to make an offer.

"We're going to trade him," Snider said. "At a certain point, you have to come to grips with the fact that it's not working. He wants out and we're ready to accommodate him."

Allen Iverson, fined by the Philadelphia 76ers for skipping a bowling event, said Friday the effects of medicine after a dental procedure made him a no-show.

He was fined an undisclosed amount for missing the event on Wednesday. He said the medicine "put me out" after having two abscessed teeth pulled. Iverson left practice Wednesday, complaining of fatigue.
