Alot of people on the Bet message boards that have met him, say that he is rude in person.

Is this true, he seems very nice and down-to-earth to me.

Well that is the same thing i'm wondering because this girl i talked to one time said that when the tyson fight was here in memphis ai was here. She said that he was at this club in memphis called the D. She told me that she ask him if she could take a picture of him or with him and he said no. She said he wasn't busy or talking to anybody or anything like that. So she said please and she said that his body guard told her if you take that picture I'm going to break that camera. I didn't want to believe it at firt but after she told the story she was just in tears. I mean she was ballin yall wouldn't believe how she was crying,you would have thought her mama had died or something.I don't know but if that is true it's sad. Because I really like AI and not just because he is attractive but because he can play ball. I can't even play ball but after I saw him play I was like I wanna learn. If he is as rude as everyone say he is then I don't wanna meet him because I don't wanna get my feelings hurt. Alot of famous people say I love my fans and it's all about the fans but if they really don't feel that way then they shouldn't say it.

Well I heard 3 different stories
One was from my brother when he went to the Jahide White Foundation thing or whatever and AI was there and my brother was like he was cool laughing and talking to him and his boyz or whatever.
My sister who just now tellin me this s*** when it happened forever ago but she work at the Pink Slip (Strip club a lot of celebrities go to) And she was like AI was requesting her to do to much s*** and he was drunk and cursing and stuff and she was like she was doing all she could to keep him satisfied and after her show she said him and some dudes was sitting back chillin and she asked him for an autograph and he said naw you didn't do what I said.
One of my prefessor's daughters were like she met him and he seemed cool or whatever but her ass didn't go say nothing to him. So she don't really count.

Even though I don't believe it, a lot of the stories I've heard about people meeting Iverson have been negative. I hope he isn't rude when it comes to meeting his fans. All the stories that I've heard about him are negative too. I mean I know that sometimes people famous and not famous feel like being alone...but you don't have to hurt people feelings in the process. I remember when ludacris came to club liquid. He was so dame cool I mean he came out on the dance floor and danced with us like he was normal.He didn't care if you danced up on him or dance with him. It was like a night to remember I didn't even really like him alot before then but now he is like my favorite rapper.I feel like if you are famous and you can do something or just give someone a great memory of you then you have done something.Because ludacris might not even remember it but his fans will remember it forever.

ABG3, I know dats right!!! I'm with you 100%. I wish he would try to be rude with me. We'd probably go at it for a minute because we are both Gemini's. We don't back down for s***.

I've talked with a couple of people recently who all say the same thing about AI. They say he dirty/dusty! And RUDE AS ALL HELL! They saw it as a big turnoff. I've never met him in person myself, but I don't know, a sista may have to go down to the club tomorrow night to check out his Pre-Thanksgiving party. Until then, he aiight with me.

I done heard plenty of stories about him going off on fans and datz why when he did use to come to TGI's I didn't ask him for an autograph or a picture cuz I don't know if he havin a good day or a bad day and if he went off on me I will be crushed. But he seems nice to me, he don't say that much in TGI's to the waiters. But at clubs you can't really get a chance to say anything cuz he go str8 to VIP, and the flashlight secrutity guards be ready to bust somebody upside the head if they get close to him so I don't know.

First off I don't think it is right to ever be rude to someone and I really don't want to make excuses, but AI is a superstar that gets a lot of attention and like other celebs the attention wears on you so a lot of times they're going to decline signing autographs, and taking pics. Somehow I can't fault them for that, plus I think its silly the way people glorify autographs, its just his scribblings that you can barely make out.Also maybe its just me but I think bothering someone especially in a private setting is inappropriate, so I'm not surprised if he gets pissed off a lot. And the fact that people buy his stuff is irrelevant because what matters is their satisfaction with the commodity.AI has nothing to do with that.
Anyway, I read an article about AI when he just came to the league and now.His college coach J. Thompson said he was very humble and polite and basically the writer said that when he just came he was shy, but now he really isn't, and that he always had some cockiness but you usually see it on the court. Like I said the spotlight gets to you, people might say his head is swelling, but its normal for humans in that position to change their attitudes according to how they're perceived.If society treats you like 'God' eventually you are going to act like it. Besides wih all the drama around him who wouldn't be pissed off half the time.

Then he was like see you trying to be stupid and immature now and he was like just do yo job and one of the other strippers were in the bathroom with LH (Larry Hughs) and they said he was hitting it from the back and she gave him head afterwards or whatever and he came all over her face and when they came out of the bathroom the smell was so stanky that they had to open the doors so the girl was like she wanted to see what was going down at the party so she went to the hotel and she was like when she went in they wanted her to strip and she was like naw my man told me to come check on my girls and stuff.
I don't know if the story is true or whatever I personally have my doubts but she not known for lying that much but yall be the judge she told me about a lot of celebrites I wouldn't of thought of. She told me so stuff I was like eughhh that is disgusting.

I forgot to tell yall that the girl said they didn't pay the strippers I told her that I would've snatched one of the earring off of one of them niggas ears or snatched a watch or something wish I would after he told her to do her job.

Belle I understand what you are saying and I agree with a lot of it but I also know that there is away to do everything.No matter what Iverson do (unless it's really bad)I will still love him...but I heard that he acts like an ass hole more than half of the time...and when your eating people shouldn't ask you for anything but it's still away to treat people. Just because you are a super star don't mean you are better than anyone else.

I think that hes a sweet heart cuz when i was as the sixers@raptors game, at the end i moved up closer to watch him as hes getting interviewed and i screamed i luv u iversona and he threw his headband to me. But i didnt get it cuz he threw it too lightly so some ugly asss kid got it. But at least he appreciates his fans.

I disagree about him being obligated to to fans. I think the fans like to take too much credit for a celebs success. First off his talent (and heart) is what makes him successful and why people like him. He might do commercials but I'm sure he's not begging anyone to buy his merchandise, furthermore even without people buying his stuff he's getting a huge salary from the sixers. It's nice to know that you have support but I doubt Ivey is the kind of person that cares a whole lot if people support him, as long as he has his crew and family behind him.

Ps. I do remember him thanking those who support him though at a press conference. I think it was during the 00-02 playoffs when he got the mvp.

BELLE. I agree wit you in a way but I also think that they do owe there fans at least a autograph a picture somethin ya know. Despite what alot of people think the fans do make and break any celebrity, thats my opinion. If fans stopped goin to the games then those salaries will definitely go way down cause thats what alot of there salaries are based on. If only 100 people went to the game you think they goin be kickin out 70 million dollars to 1 player hell no. If reebok wasnt sellin sneakers like they was he would not be gettin no 10 million dollar deal from them, cause he is the reason kids are buyin them if they didnt then he wouldnt get all dat money or the deal. Its just not athletes though, thats anybody like if you come out wit a cd, the fans either goin blow you up or drop you into the no hit wonder box ya feel me. So I think its only fair for any celebrity to make time for there fans because we do make them who they are and pay for the s*** they got. Yeah they might get a paycheck for ballin but its the fans buyin the tickets to the game and buyin there s*** who fatten that check. It is not gonna hurt them to sign there name on a peice of paper and make somebody's day. When I took my nephew to the game, he was so happy that iverson and mckie signed his basketball thats all he talks about now and he cherishes it. Its true he didnt really thank his fans for supportin him but most people do. He may not say it but he know thats who makin him, the fans. Yeah his skills make him too but he everyone needs there fans. Oh my god allen baby girl I couldn't agree with you more.Okay it's like what you said it's not gonna kill them to sign something.That's the whole point that i have been trying to get across for the longest.If I can sign something or just speak to someone and make them happy then I've done my job.(if i were famous)So for someone to ask like an ass (not just iverson)towards anybody is wrong.I don't believe every story I hear about AI... but I know out of all the people I've talked to they are not all lying.I love Iverson and I think he is very talent but I won't make it seem like he's always right in every situation.

i think sometimes allen iverson is rude and sometimes he is not it depends on what is going on in his mind at the moment and what he is concerened with at that time if he is having a bad day then it is a bad day if he is having a good day then it is a good day but no matter how he feels he should never be rude about it he can just say in a polite way i am finishe signing autographs for the day and just walk away he doesnt have to be nasty about it at all you never know what is going on with a person at that particular moment they could be stressed or worried about something or they could not be feeling good take for instance if you a person go to work and you are not feeling good that morning you could have gotten into a arguement with someone or you could be upset or worried about something so then you might not feel like talking or speaking to any one at all but you dont be rude about it you deal with it in a polite way i hope so like i said it could depend on what he is or was going through at that particular time he might not have been in the mood for the females at that time or he feels that he just cant possibly sign every autograph for if he did he would never make it no where and adults should understand that fans or not i do however feel sorry for the kids and their parents should tell them in advance that he might or might not be able to sign your autograph and exlain to their child why but like i said us adults should no better but some act like children when it comes to stuff like that and not just with allen iverson but with any entertainer so no i would not be so quick to say he is rude nor will i say he never has been i never met him but i hope that if he is sometimes he works on it and all those stories they might be true but then again you never know some of you might or might not agree with me but i am just giving my opinion

I,m not trying to make it seem like he's right in every situation. I do beleive that ai has done and said some dumn (inexcusable) stuff, but as far as declining autographs and pics goes he has every right to deny them. Maybe its because my culture or beliefs are different from yours but I beleive autograghs are insignificant. I think people want to beleive if a celeb signs something for them that the person really cares or acknowledges them. The fact is celebs couldn't care less about the fans and only pretend to when signing and taking pics. I'd rather him to be real and show that signing autographs is nothing short of annoying and just flat out refuse, no matter what people will think of you.

About the fans making him a star,I think that is half true, but his talent is the most important thing. I believe most of the fans go to games not just to support ai but to satisfy their entertainment needs. Also if ai wasn't playing good ball and the team wasn't winning do you think people would still be going to games. No. People go to see his rare talent, not just because they are his fans. In fact you don't have to be a fan to of his to support the 76ers.

Another thing, Imo you can't judge someone on the basis of one meeting with them. You can't really tell a person's true colours unless you're around them for a significant time, and I don't like going by other people's accounts because what one person sees as decent behaviour, another might see as vulgar.

It doesn't even matter if he's truly rude or not, the fact is he's got a lot of fans worldwide that will never meet him and only care about him killing people on the court.

Well I don't believe that whole thing about the autographs..and as far as that goes with the celeb not caring that's not true about all celebs.I don't believe that people believe that in there head the celebs really care about them.I think that we as fans wants autographs so we can have something to remember are idols by.We can show friends and family what we got.Because when Aaliyah was signing autographs in the virgin record store in NY she sign my cd.I didn't think that oh my god she loves me and really care about me,but i believe she loved and cared and still do care about all her fans.So now that she is gone it's like I will never forget that because I still got the cd and it's like something for me to remember her by. But like I said the first time I will never come in contact with iverson so I will never know if he is rude or not.

Well I guess if you idolize someone it would be cool to get an autograph for a memorabilia. But I have never really idolized anyone, so no celeb has meant anything more to me than an entertainment provider. Like ai, I just think his lifestory is interesting, he's exciting to watch on the court and he's a pretty face. His life is sort of inspiring and I would love to be successful like him, but I don't think I want to emulate him in any way, which is what I think you do when you idolize someone.(I think I've gone off the topic here) n e way I like the fact that we could discuss something without anyone getting dissed. Respect

Well me,myself and I don't idolize AI I just think he is talent and good looking.I wouldn't go out of my way to get an autograph from him.I guess that is because I don't love basketball like I love music.If I was to get an autograph from him I would apreciate it but I wouldn't cherish it like the one I got from aaliyah or any other musician.Don't get me wrong I like AI and basketball but not like music.
