I really dont think that Allen Iverson is scared. Im pretty sure that he just doesnt want to have any more problems. Hes tired of looking around for a safe place with no problems.
WHY is it that when "Will Smith" had problems with that babysitter that was stoking him,all the problems stopped quick?
WHY cant that happen to Allen Iverson.... Even though his problem is totally different. Things should happen quick.
I think that none of this is fair!!!!
If things do happen quick I just hope and pray to god that he doesnt go to jail.. I mean I believe him when he says all of the stuff that the wifes family said was made up!!! <<<<< I bet you anything that the wifes family doent like him and they just want his money... Cause you know that Allen Iverson has lots of money!

Iversons say they live in fear
The couple denied reports of domestic abuse but expressed concerns about police

Allen Iverson, with wife Tawanna and daughter Tiaura, complained about "news cameras following my kids, my wife, my friends … just to see what type of activity is going on. It just scares me, man." The Iversons' attorneys advised them to speak out.
Breaking his public silence about his off-season troubles, Allen Iverson spoke out yesterday, saying he is fearful of police, is afraid to be in Philadelphia, and may want to leave town someday soon.
"I've heard about police officers toasting to Allen Iverson's next felony conviction," the 76ers' star guard said. "I'm hearing about them saying I'm involved with one thing or another, and it scares me. I know that if there's a crooked cop out there, they could do anything to me. He could do anything. Allen Iverson could wind up dead tomorrow if a crooked cop wants him dead. It's as simple as that.
"I want to be in Philadelphia, but I'm scared to be here."
A police spokesman denied that there were any police threats directed toward Iverson and said such conduct would not be tolerated.
Iverson expressed his fears in a 90-minute interview during which he and his wife, Tawanna, made their first public statements about their relationship and denied reports of domestic abuse by Iverson. He was charged with several felonies in July after an alleged domestic dispute with his wife. The charges were all dropped.
The Iversons gave an interview to two reporters yesterday after practice at the Sixers' practice facility at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, to blunt the impact of an upcoming unflattering television news report on Iverson's personal life. The interview was attended by their lawyer, Larry Woodward.

The Iversons, while admitting they argued, denied any abuse.
"My husband never hit me, and he did not throw me out of the house naked," Tawanna Iverson said.
In addition to his concerns about police, Iverson complained of "news cameras following my kids, my wife, my friends, etc., just to see what type of activity is going on. It just scares me, man. If you tell me that I'm going to have to go through this in every city I go to if I go anywhere, then I'd rather be here. But..."
After facing charges that could have added up to 70 years in prison last summer, and enduring the media frenzy that followed, along with the feeling that times are not about to get any better, Iverson, along with his wife, felt inclined to speak.
Anticipating that WXTF-TV (Channel 29) is planning a news segment raising questions about Iverson's off-court lifestyle, according to both the Sixers and Woodward, the couple finally said they had had enough.
Iverson was finally unleashed by his lawyers, who had previously advised him not to speak.
(Scott Matthews, news director at Channel 29, said it is the station's policy not to confirm or deny the content of any of its programs.)
Denying reports of physical abuse, Iverson said yesterday: "Tawanna and I have been in a million fights, if not more. We've been together for 10 1/2 years. I'd be a fool to say I've never been in a fight with Tawanna.
"But am I in there putting my foot in her [butt]? No. I love her to death. She's my other half."
But in Iverson's mind, that's barely half the story in the eyes of many critics, particularly those in Philadelphia's police department and the media.
While Iverson thinks he might be a target for the police, he believes he clearly is one for the media. For those that can't get at him directly, he believes they've proven they will hurt his family.
And does he think it is defamation? Definitely. By embarrassment? Absolutely. By violence? Possibly. And that includes the police, he believes.
Responding to Iverson's assertions, Inspector William Colarulo of the police public affairs department said: "With regard to Mr. Iverson's concerns regarding police officers' behavior, let me state that the deputy commissioner would never tolerate anyone toasting or celebrating a person's next conviction, regardless of who they are. And I can assure you that any police misconduct of any nature would never be tolerated by [Commissioner] Sylvester Johnson.
"I would urge Mr. Iverson, if he or his family have direct knowledge of 'crooked cops' and he is fearful of his life as a result of it, that this information be reported immediately to our internal affairs division."
Judging from yesterday's interview, the Iversons would just prefer to be left alone.
"I remember when that whole fiasco was going down," Tawanna Iverson said. "Aside from the helicopters hovering over our house, there were media people hiding in the bushes, taking pictures and everything, trespassing and damaging our property."
The media staked out the Iverson house over the summer after Iverson and his uncle were accused of barging into a West Philadelphia apartment July 3 and threatening the two men inside during Iverson's angry search for his wife after he had kicked her out of their Main Line mansion. The charges were eventually dropped.
"Now, it may be over for everybody else, but not us," Tawanna said. "I used to be able to go get a tank of gas, to go to the supermarket or the movies. People didn't bother me before. But that isn't the case anymore."
Iverson added: "I worry about Tawanna all the time. She rides with security before the game, after the game. There's security for 24 hours at our house. When I go on the road, I leave security with her. She knows. I get on her all of the time. When she goes to the mall, I want her to have someone with her. Just because...
"I'm at a game and we're leaving, and there are women yelling at her, telling her, 'Allen, don't mess with Tawanna. She's just after your money.' She used to be in the regular seats at games. Now she's in a suite because of the things some people feel they can say to her, just because somebody might try to whip her [butt]."
Perhaps that is why last summer's trouble made the Iversons just as fearful as they were annoyed.
Iverson remembered receiving an e-mail from Jay W. Charles on May 16, 2000, and how Charles had threatened to decapitate his two children. He recalled how Charles ended up receiving a $5,000 fine, three years' probation, and 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to one count of sending a threatening interstate communication.
To the Iversons, such incidents are a microcosm of today's society, in which nearly anything goes when it comes to celebrities.
"I heard that she was cheating on me... with my own cousin," Iverson said. "When I hear that, I'm hurt for her. They're saying stuff about her that she didn't do."
The Sixers say they have noticed that Iverson is more guarded than ever. The Iversons appear resigned to their plight, concerned more these days with safeguarding their family than anything else.
"They've become convinced that their situation is permanent," Woodward said. "You always want to believe that when something bad happens, that it's situational, that you'll wake up one day and the media will have taken their shot at you and it will go away and people will get tired of talking about your life, following you around, etc.
"I think when you hear Allen's frustration, they've realized they have to wake up every morning and realize that this media frenzy will not go away."
"It's a bad thing," Iverson said, "but it's our thing."

Allen: I want to be in Philadelphia, but I'm scared now to be in Philadelphia. I've heard about police officers toasting to Allen Iverson's next felony conviction. I'm hearing about a police officer saying I'm involved with this, that and the third.
It scares me because I know that if there's any crooked cops out there, they can do anything. A crooked cop can do anything. Allen Iverson can end up dead tomorrow if a crooked cop wants him dead. It's as simple as that.
I have news cameras following me everywhere, following my wife, following my kids, following my friends, just to see what type of activity is going on. It really scares me, man.
Tawanna: If they can turn who I am into something ... I mean, I stay at home. I'm a housewife. I raise my kids. I don't have a nanny to raise my kids. Where I go, my kids go ...
If [the media] can take Tawanna Iverson, take that name and run with it, then, yeah [they'll do anything].
On last summer's impact on their lives
Tawanna: I think we've grown closer as a family ... We have two kids to raise, and we're trying to raise them as normal kids ... They shouldn't have to walk around on egg shells and not be able to be kids.
I don't like to go out. Normal things, like going to the grocery store and pumping my own gas, that was fine with me. But that's not cool with me anymore. Everywhere I go, I've got to hear, "There she is. That's Iverson's wife." If they didn't know before, they know now.
It's hard because I'm not used to that ... I didn't work on being out in the limelight or being a star. That's not me.
Allen: I can't take my wife to the movies anymore. I can't take her to dinner. I have to have a security guard, a bodyguard, a police officer with me to take my wife to dinner. That's crazy.
I always worry about her. She doesn't sit with everybody else anymore at games. She sits in a box now ... I worry about her safety all of the time. She's with security all the time now. We have security at our house 24 hours. I get on her all of the time to have security, even if she's just going to the mall.
On what they learned about the media
Allen: It hasn't taught me anything because I already knew about it. I'm aware of it. I understand ...
People can be mean and vicious to you sometimes. But I've got to be Allen Iverson for the rest of my life, and she's got to be Tawanna Iverson. It's as simple as that. You've got to live with whatever it is ...
People think I live my life for Allen Iverson. I live for Tawanna Iverson and them two kids. That's what I live my life for. That's all I've got. That's all I care about. I may stumble, but I promise you I won't fall.
On media coverage last summer
Allen: I wasn't shocked by any of it because that's the way it's been with me ... It's been that way with me since the world has known Allen Iverson, as far as high school, college and up to this point right now. It seems like I've always had a microscope on my life and everything that I've been through, dealt with.
It was just a horrible experience having people outside of my house, 24 hours. Helicopters flying over my house because of something I was accused of. My kids not being able to go outside and play because of the media coverage ...
I think the worst part of it was when they found out the truth of the matter and everything that happened, it was just that. The charges were dropped and that's that. I didn't expect any apologies or anything like that. As a matter of fact, I didn't want any. But that's what it was. It was nothing after we crucified this man for a week or two, whatever, and now that everything is over, it's over. That was just the bad part for me, having to deal with that.
Tawanna: I felt like the media was ridiculous. I mean, they sat outside my house ... but you wouldn't know they were there until 11 and 12 o'clock at night, shining bright lights into my house. It was just crazy, and at the same time I felt it was, of course, just an invasion of privacy that stemmed from something that never happened. I was never thrown out of the house naked ...
When we came out, the reporters actually trespassed on our property. They were in our bushes with the cameras, between our bushes. We spent time to have trees planted for privacy. These cameras were actually posted in between these trees to see us in our yard.
Allen: I don't really look at the media like they're just harsh to me because they hate me. It's just because it's their livelihood. It's the way they eat, the way they have to survive. It sells when you talk about Allen Iverson, especially in a negative way ...
Quote me the same way I'm saying it: "The world is just f----- up that way." That's just the way it is.
On Allen's lack of appreciation for his accomplishments
Tawanna: That's not accurate, but that's what the media does to him. He's very appreciative, and what the world doesn't see is that he's a wonderful father and husband. He's appreciative of that also.
He makes mistakes, and he learns and grows from those mistakes. That's how I look at it. I can't say there's been a time when he hasn't been appreciative of what he has. He loves his family and friends. He's very loyal to them ...
Yes, he plays for the 76ers, but he also gives to charities. He has a foundation. Does things for the Boys & Girls Club. He wouldn't be that person if he didn't appreciate what he has.
Allen: What? You don't tell me that s---. You make me feel good. Type that up for me.
On their private life becoming public
Allen: But the part that bothered me the most is because you heard so many stories. The media can write anything they want, whether it's accurate or not ... I heard she was cheating on me. I heard she was cheating on me with my own cousin - a whole bunch of s---.
The reason I'm hurt is I'm hurt for [Tawanna]. They're saying this s--- about [Tawanna], and it's something she didn't do.
If my wife were to cheat on me, I would leave her alone. I wouldn't go in anybody's house with a gun and say, "I'm mad at you for her cheating on me" ... I've been in stuff before where I knew I was innocent and didn't do what they said I did, but I've never been in a situation where they took someone that I love and treated them like the treat me. They did it to me before, and I can deal with somebody lying about me. But not her ...
If you want to say anything about my wife, talk about what she does for me. Talk about how she helps me. Allen Iverson's life ain't easy and without Tawanna Iverson, it would be that much harder ... There's no way in the world, I would be where I'm at without her. It's as simple as that.
On the reporting of allegations
Allen: Where do people get their information from? That's what I'm trying to say. Tomorrow, they can come out and say Allen Iverson is a crackhead. He smokes crack cocaine. He shoots dope in his arm...
Me and my wife have been together for 10 ½ years. We've been in a million fights. I'd be wrong if I ask you. "What's up with you and your girl? What's up with your relationship? When's the last time you and her got in a fight?"
Everybody that I know with somebody I love has had arguments. I love my mom to death, but I've been in a billion fights with my mom. I'd be a fool to say. "I don't get into it with Tawanna. I never get in a fight with her ever in life."
But am I in there putting a foot in her ass or anything like that? No, never. But I've been in fights with her plenty of times. It's nobody's business, but when it's Allen Iverson, we can make it everybody's business.
On why they didn't speak out earlier
Tawanna: Of course, I've felt the need [to say those things never happened] ... First of all, it's nobody's business. [Allen] says we've had a million fights, but if you're going to put that in the paper, say "arguments" because somebody can take "fight" and turn it into something physical.

I was just on this other messageboard and here what someone had to say aboutsome of the reasons why the interview took place.
Nobody is out to get Allen Iverson and there is no conspiracy with the Philly PD or government. Allen brought this on himself. He is familiar with the media tactics, but he continues to put himself on blast. Of course, anyone close to him is going to be fair game for the media. He should be worried about his so-called “boys” and certain family members. There are two issues here that are the real reason for this interview. There is a special report in the works that will detail issues about Allen, Tawanna, and their marriage. Allen and Tawanna are both upset about this report. Again, Allen has put himself out there. Allen consistently makes careless moves like nobody knows who he is or he just doesn’t care, until it is printed….then he wants to complain. The second issue is that Allen is having problems with the sixers. He is being “shopped” around and he knows it. The interview is a preface to an impending trade sometime during the season or shortly thereafter.
Tell me what you think. I hope this isn't true about him getting traded.

yes on ESPN last night during the game ieverson sat down to talk to 2 reporters and said that he might have to leave philly cause he is fearful of the police and has to have 24hour security for him and his wife and kids wherever they go cause crooked cops might and will target him and it could happen tomorrow he said it was like he had a target on his back this was the beginning of a television interview coming up later they did not say when but its coming soon one of the hosts was like "his own personal behaavior puts him in jeapordy with all the police iverson would stand out to some degree and call attention to him and his boys in any city and that iverson aint going no where" i was like damn OMG did the host really have to go there what do yall think do think iverson will leave philly where would he go and what team would he play for what team would you like him to play for

If he leaving why he buying a house for and why he sign a contract or whatever. This situation sucks who cares about the crooked ass cops out there they everywhere where ever he trying to go. I understand he trying to be careful with the family and all but he's asking the cops to come after him talking about they after him anyway they goin try to get his ass more now. He could've left that comment out.

I ain't sayin he not leaving, but almost everybody that come to the games come to see him play, so if he leaves then alotta money will leave too, cuz Iverson is a big money maker. The First Union Center will be empty as I don't know what, if AI leave.

Whichever host that said Iverson's behaviour is the only cause for the police targeting him is wrong. If Allen isn't engaging in any criminal activity he shouldn't be their target and even if some of his friends are drug dealers, he's not dealing so why target him.
Also I think AI should be scared because you never know what crazy people can do, especially when they are cops who have power. I mean when you think about it one that really hates him could plant drugs on him or something. Thats why I think he's concerned about the rumour that some cops were 'toasting to his next conviction.'Its definitely better for him to watch his back closely now and if things get really serious he can demand a trade and leave town. But then the bs might continue in the next town.All AI can do is pray to God and keep up the 24 hour security even though its not right that you have to have people following you around 24/7.

I feel so bad for him cause he really is scared for his family and himself. It dont make no damn sense dat people shpould have to mlive like dat cause people cant mind there damn business. He should be happy, not worryin about if somebody harassin his wifey or kids. I had this dream last night and it was so crazy cause it seemed so real. I was in the backseat of his jeep and his mom was drivin and he was tellin me about how the s*** was gettin to him and he was really upset about how the s*** was gettin to Tawanna it was crazy. Anyway I just pray that they will be happy again and he keep on doin his thing.
