this could be fun, maybe we can learn new things about him by posting everything we know. Aiight I'll start.
-he was born in Hampton,VA 1975, June 7th to Ann Iverson who was 15 at the time.
-his biological father, Allen Broughton, was in a gang called "The Family Connection", was only 5'6", and was a point guard in the basketball team at his school.
-Ann Iverson and Allen Broughton was from Connecticut.
-Ann's mama died when she was like 11, and she moved to Hampton, VA to have Ivo.
-She said he was "long and skinny" when he was born.
-Allen was nick named "Bubba Chuck" after two uncles.
-Allen was often jumped and beat up on as a little kid (I read that in sports illustrated I think) and thrown into walls by his cousins, and his mama would tell him to quit crying, and be tough, and teach them a lesson.
-When Ivo was 9 his mama forced him to play basketball and he thought it was soft. She gave him a pair of J's, and he went to practice, came home and thanked her cause he loved it. Football is still his favorite sport though and he played baseball too. AI can throw a football over 70 yards.
-Ivo's best friend and role model was murdered when Ivo was 15. 7 of his other friends were all killed over that summer, and his best friend Ra got murdered last October.
-Allen's grandma died when he was only about 14 or 15 I think.
- Allen often was late to school or missed and had bad grades because he had to take care of his little sister Iiesha, who was often ill and had seizures while his mother was working.
-Allen was very poor and often had no food at home, sometimes no electricity, water, lights, and a lot of his clothes came from the salvation army or they were hand me downs. The sewer busted underneath their apartment and would flood the apartment. Allen's step dad, Michael Freeman was in and out of prison for drugs after an injury from a car accident left him unemployed.
-Allen met Tawanna in highschool, and the couple went to rivalry schools in Hampton. They kept their relationship very private. Tawanna was from an upper class neighborhood and was voted most attractive at school and was involved in Honor Society and Government Clubs. Allen was the star of his HS football and basketball teams.
-Allen got bad grades in school do to his home problems, but was a gifted artist and had a mural of MJ drawn on his door.
-Allen and Ann had to stay in a shelter once, but it hurt Allen too much so he preferred to stay with coaches and friends.
-Allen went to jail for the "Bowling Alley Brawl" that occurred on February 14, 1993, and had to serve time for 4 months, unfairly. Later, he was exonerated, however he had lost his scholarship to Kentucky University and had to get his HS Diploma over the summer.
-Over that summer he was tutored by Susan Lambiotte and he got his HS Diploma.
-Ann begged Coach John Thompson to take him into G-town, and be a father figure to him, and he did.

-he wants "MISUNDERSTOOD" imprinted on his epitaph.
-he had his first kid, Tiaura at G-town University with his HS Sweetheart Tawanna when he was about 20 I think.
Then they had their second kid, Deuce, a couple years later. And LOYALTY is more important to him than anything.
