It all started when I(GREG)all my 2best friends..Donald(ghetto)and Aaron(Smoke) met Dwayne(BLACK).We where all gangstas not necessarily by choice, but growing up in the neighborhood(Barry Farms in S.E.Wash,DC)thats all we seen growing up and pretty much ALL we knew.I(greg)was 17..Don(Ghetto)was 18 and Aaron(Smoke)was 16 and Dwayne(Black)was 17.Now me(Greg),Don(Ghetto),and Aaron knew each other since forever.We where like brothers..matter fact thats what we called each other....brothers.I(Greg was always the "aggresive....ready 4 anthing..wild" brother. Don(Ghetto) was the biggest in stature.He always was the "calm,level headed,...but u dont want 2 get him mad" brother.Aaron he was always the"funny..make fun of everbody..but get shy around the ladies" brother.It was the summer of 97'. We decided to go to Anacostia Park( giant park on Anacostia River that everyboy in DC be at in the summer).We had two 15 packs of Red Bull(beer)some smoke(weed),and was ready to act the fool.WE had started to make our way over to a group of females that where by the basketball courts.That's when we met Dwayne(Black)! THIS MY 1ST TIME WRITIN..IM OFF TODAY WAS BORED..PLUS JUS WANTED TO GIVE AH STORY FROM AH MALE PERSPECTIVE..!

THE STORY CONTINUES...
As we made our way through the crowd moving
towards the females by the basketball courts.
...Don(Ghetto)points out a Sixers throw back jersey someone was wearing.That someone was
Dwayne(black),but we didn't know that at the time.

Don:Aye..U see dat jersey cuz wearin?
Greg:What jersey?Where?Who u talkin about?
Don:right there!dude with da throwback Charles Barkley Sixers jersey on.
Aaron:What u dont see him Greg?Right over there by them females.
Greg:Oh yeah!That jount(joint) aight!
Aaron:Yeah it is!I'm about to ask cuz where did he get dat jount!

So we all walked over towards the guy we now know as Dwayne(Black).

Aaron:Whatz up Dawg!aye that's a nice jersey u wearin.Where u get it?
Dwayne:Oh! this jount!..my girl bought this 4 me.But I don't know where she got it from though.
Aaron:Damn!I wanted 2 get an Allen Iverson

Dwayne:Oh!I can ask my girl where she got it from 4 u..just put this number in ur phone..
Aaron:Oh aight! thats a bet..Whatz ur name dawg?
Dwayne:Oh..folks call me Black!

They give each other dap(a type of handshake..greeting)as they introduce theirselves.

Aaron:(shouting)Greg!..Ghetto!(gestures 4 us 2 come over with his hand)

We had made our way over to the females,and where now engaged in conversation with them.

Don:Man!What does this Bamma(used as a reference for a uncool person)want?!
Greg:Who knows?ButI know I aint goin over there!
Greg:NNNAAAA!U come over here!

We didn't want 2 come over there because we were still talking 2 the females.So,Aaron and Dwayne Made their way over 2 us
and the females.

Aaron:Aye..This is Black..
Don:Whatz up champ!I like that jersey!
Dwayne:Thanks..Dawg!!
Greg:(In a reluctant tone)Oh..whaz up Dawg!
Greg:Smoke this Tonya,Nita,Mia..and I don't know her name!(I say jokingly)
Girl:(smiles and giggles)Hi!I'm Egypt!
Aaron:(in a soft voice)Hi!I'm smoke..
Greg:(says sarcasticly in a soft voice)Hi!...
I'm Smoke..

The females began 2 laugh at Greg's statement except4 Egypt who stares at Aaron
suggestively.

Egypt:Smoke dont listen 2 him.I think how u said it was so sexy.
Aaron:(blushes)Thanks!

At that moment Dwayne interjects himself in the conversation.

Dwayne:Egypt..that's a pretty name..I guess everything about u pretty..huh?
Egypt:(smiles slightly)Oh that's sweet!
Greg:(interrupts)Anyway!Do U ladies want 2
do something with us 2night?
Mia:Its 4 of u..and its 4 of us..yeah! we can
definitely do something..
Greg:4 of who?..man i dont even kno..(interrupted by Don)
Don:Yeah..We'll call ya'll in a hour..and decide on something!O.K. ladies see you in a little while!

The ladies say their goodbyes and leave.Aaron and Donald give Dwayne dap as we're preparing to leave.

Don:AightBlack!Smoke has ur number right!
He'll call u later and let u know whatz up!
Dwayne:o.k. see you later Ghetto
Aaron:I'll hollar at u later..black
Dwayne:o.k. thats a bet!..(shouts AIGHT!GREG..HOLLAR AT U LATER! as I walk away.)

I continue 2 walk away as if I never heard him saying anything.I think 2 myself"Why
is his bamma ass sayin my name like he know me?".Don and Aaron drilled me about how I
treat people the whole ride home.All of their words went into 1 ear and out the other because I have never been 1 to embrace a total stranger,and Im not going to start embracing them today!Regardless of what anybody says!I'm just stubborn like that!

Now we all decided to meet up and go bowling
later that night.We all met at the Bowling Palace as planned.Everyone had alot of fun bowling,and laughing at the crazy antics and comments of my lil brother Aaron(Smoke).
Everything went pretty well except for the fact Dwayne(Black)kept flirting with Egypt who had made it no secret she was
diggin'(into)my lil brother Aaron.We were now in the parking lot leaving the Bowling Palace walking to the cars.

Don:Everybody follow me!We can all go chill at my house,have some drinks and watch a movie.
Don:If thats o.k. wit u ladies?!
Tonya:Yeah...u jus lead da way baby!
Aaron:(says jokingly)Egypt can i sit on ur
lap?
Egypt:(replys jokingly)Of course anything u like baby!
Dwayne:(asks sarcasticly)Ahh!u like things on ur butt Smoke?
Aaron:(laughs)Who's butt?Ur butt? get outta here dawg!
Greg:(stares at Black)Don't be makin no butt jokes about me cause I dont know u like dat!

Everyone enters their vechiles and leave.We all decided to go to the Pancake House before we went to Don's house.Don and I ate at the table with Tonya and Mia.Aaron and Dwayne ate with Egypt and Nita.Aaron comes over to our table to tell us he 's about 2 go to the restroom.

Greg:(says jokingly)Dis bamma(uncool person)goin come ova here 2 tell us he goin 2 the bathroom!
Mia:(says smiling)Shut up greg..
Don:(says jokingly)What u want us 2 hold ur dick 4 you?
Tonya:Yaw niggaz is crazy!

We continue 2 laugh.Aaron leaves.It's been
15 minutes since he first went 2 the restroom.We hear gunshots!Nita comes running to the table.

Nita:(yelling)THEY SHOOTING...THEY SHOOTING..SMOKE OUTSIDE..SMOKE OUTSIDE!
Greg:SMOKE OUTSIDE?!!

We all run outside!Smoke is sitting on the ground in between Egypt's legs breathing hard as she rubs his head.I didn't see Dwayne at the time!

Greg:U AIGHT SMOKE? U AIGHT?
Smoke:(breathing hard)yea i'm aight!
Greg:What happened?
Smoke:It was dem Lincoln Heights niggaz(rival gangmembers)they tried 2 jump me,
but Black must have seen dem niggaz on me..
and.. he came out wit da strap(gun)bussin(shooting)and dem niggaz dipped(left quickly).
Greg:Black?where Black now?
Smoke:(as Don pulls him up)He said he was going 2 go to the car before the police show up!
Don:Yeah!We need to do the same!Girls yaw get in yaw car and follow me to the house.

Everyone runs to their cars and leaves.We could hear the police siren's as we speeded away!I turn and looked at Black eye 2 eye.

Greg:(voice sounding a little emotional)Black good looking out!I MEAN man 4REAL!
I need my lil brova!THANKS DAWG!THANKS!
Black:No problem champ!Aye Smoke my dawg too!I got his back!BELIEVE DAT!
Smoke:(says sarcasticly)Man yaw bammaz gettin tears all on da seats..save dem Kodak moments 4 when we get in the house!(we all laugh!!)

We(males and females)all spent the rest of the night drinking ,smoking, and discussing the wild night we just experienced.That night I gained a new found respect 4 Black. Yeah! Dwayne may be alright after all. MAYBE?!!

Its been a month now since we fist met Dwayne. Aaron and Dwayne have become very close in this time:so close it seem like I have to make an appointment to see my own lil brother nowdays. Dwayne has grew on me little over this last month.Aaron and Egypt are a couple now.With all thats been going on
in Aaron's life

on and I lucky if we see Aaron twice a week.

Don:Greg..U done seen ur lil brova dis week?
Greg:Nnaaa!last time I talked to dat nigga was last friday on da phone.

We rushed Aaron to the hospital.He was shot once in the shoulder and he was grazed by a round in his back..It was only a flesh wound though.We were now in his hospital room.He was laying in the bed,but in a suprisingly good mood though.

Greg:Whaz up champ?..How u feelin?
Aaron:(says with smurk)Man..im chillin!im still alive aint I?!!
Don:Man What happened though?
Aaron:Man..i dont even know..1 minute im killin dis broad from da back then..(Smoke starts laughing)

Dwayne enters the room.He is carrying some food from Eddie Lenard"s(Aaron's favorite carry out).

Aaron:Im Good! U know im chillin!
Greg:Yea..i see u chillin 2 Black..How is it dat wit all da shootin goin on u didnt get hit?Please tell me im just curious!
Black:(says defensively)Dawg..i was in da bathroom when all dat s*** happened!

Dwayne leaves the room. Im(Greg)still emotional after Dwayne leaves.

Greg:MAN..I DO NOT TRUST DAT NIGGA!
Don:Young..u dont even know if he set Smoke up or not.Why dont u ask Smoke what he think?
Greg:(says quickly)What u think Smoke?
Aaron:Shauty he aint never done me wrong b4..plus dat man saved my life b4..i trust da nigga.
Don:Well there u have it the victim just told u he dont believe he had anything to do with it!so just let it go 4 now champ!
Greg:Man..yal niggaz let it go..yal can believe what yal wanna believe..I still dont trust him..everything jus dont add up 2 me!!

We talk about it some more,say our goodbyes,and we leave Aarons room.We turn the corner and see Dwayne giving Egypt(Smokes girl)a hug.She sees us and runs towards us.

Egypt:(crying says)Hows my Baby doing?
Greg:He Aight!! But Why u was huggin dat nigga Black though?!!
Egypt:(looking confused)Huh??
Don:Girl..Dont mind him.Greg ah lil emotional right now.Aaron in room 21.He's been asking about u.Go see him!

Egypt leaves 4 Aarons room.Don gives me a lecture on constanly jumping 2 conclusions all the time.I hear him,but u know im not listening.I dont care what he or nobody else says or thinks.I know what i know.And what i know right now is that:I DONT TRUST BLACK!!
I know he a dirty dude.Im telling u!But my eyes locked on him.Yeah they are!
