I agree... the Sixers may be suckin it up right now but that doesn't make AI a bad player. He's still in my top 5. He's an exciting player, and if he's not shooting well he makes up for it with steals and assists. I think he's still the same player. This just hasn't been a good year at all for him or the Sixers.

Ai is not losin it. He may be tired, but he's not losing it. If you had to shoot 40 shots a night to keep your weak ass team with a decent record and you get beat up every night on the court you be tired too. No wonder he be coming late to practice. He's tired, but losing it? Never that. And he's still in the top 5: Kobe, KG, T-Mac, Iverson, and Duncan. Shaq's the one losing it.

If you're referring to his off the court actions such as the recent issue then yeah I think he needs to get his stuff together. I know nobody's perfect but if he is gonna have these issues with the coach/team at least keep it between them. There is no need to get the media involved. It is getting old reading about his latest blow up.

But if you are talking about when he is actually laced up and on the court then I am going to have to agree with Bean. Not too many players in the league play as hard as him. And for a guy his size 165 and a little over 5'11 he can do some exciting things.

True. I'm not denying that there are other good players in the league--Ben Wallace and Bowen are just a few examples. But I also feel that among the league's "supposed stars," and it's just my opinion, Allen is one of toughest. Ex: VC is 6'5" (or 6'6") and 225, and he is one of my favorites, but he is not going to the hole too often. He will chill on the perimeter all night. AI, in contrast, will go in there either to draw the defense to him or try to get a shot or foul.

And it's not really Iverson just saying it about himself (granted he's not humble when it comes to this issue lol), other people, within the media as well as basketball, have acknowledged that. A while ago he was named the 2nd toughest athlete in sports behind Brett Farve. And I think that the things he has accomplished even with his size (which was seen or still is seen as a roadblock) has a lot to do with that.
